ABOUT

currently:

Ello ello! I'm Jet (they/them), a design student @ the University of Winchester. Alongside my studies, I work as an award-winning, international accessibility consultant, activist and social media guru. I've worked with major brands including Rights on Flighs, Making Space, Hello Sunshine, EasyJet, Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.

In 2023, I set up the Disabled Students Network at my university, helping other disabled students with their studies. As part of this role, I sit on the Inclusive Environments Group, with the senior leadership team, helping to improve the accessibility of our campus. This work has been extended out to sitting on the board of governors at Hampshire County Hospitals.

I have since expanded my impact into setting up a national online community for disabled people, which has gained over 100 members in just a couple of months.

Since a young age, I have always been passionate about business, marketing and design work. At age 7 I created my first business plan; a comprehensive lever arch folder of a complete business proposal for a company called “Purfect Pets”. This included everything from the branding, HR documents, floor plans, expansion plans, and the whole lot. Then at 14, I decided that I wanted to get a job. I started working at my local sports centre, which I thoroughly enjoyed but it lacked the creative outlook I craved.

I was fortunate enough to land my dream job as a marketing assistant with a company called Teens in AI, and this is where my accessibility consultancy journey started. Deciding which university to go to was hard until I looked around Winchester and instantly fell in love.

Some will say that you can't change the world, but what's stopping me?!
